-Had diptheria as a child and family was quarenteed.
-With cousin Genivive as a child would play games on the stoop or buy malteds down the street.
-Remembers Bedford Ave. house having no electricity but a gas burner & stove. Bathtub shared by 3 apartments, and facilities were like an outhouse. Kids had little wood playhouse in the back.
-Remembers getting pennies from a brown jug at Grandmother's, and Grandpa would give her a gold coin at Christmas... most she gave to mother.
